The shipbuilding industry mainly uses steel plate raw materials, and the use of laser cutting plates can replace some punching methods that require the use of complex large-scale molds, greatly shortening the production cycle and reducing costs. At present, the ship industry hull plate parts blanking methods mainly use flame cutting, plasma cutting, shear processing and laser cutting. In the field of shipbuilding, laser cutting avoids the occurrence of uneven cutting quality due to the setting of cutting allowance on the rib plate in order to ensure the assembly gap when plasma is blanking the rib plate. This reduces assembly workload, assembly cycle, material and labor cost waste.

The marine steel plate cut by laser has good slit quality, good verticality of the cut surface, no slag hanging, thin oxide layer, smooth surface, no need for secondary processing, direct welding, small thermal deformation, high curve cutting accuracy, reduced coordination time, and barrier-free cutting of high-strength ship plates.
